
Sophie Knight (she/her)
Meet Sophie, a paediatric physiotherapist that prioritizes play-based therapy to meet the goals of the children and families she works with. She emphasizes finding the right options for each child while applying the most up-to-date research.
Sophie earned her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne after completing her bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
Sophie has completed the Royal Children’s Starting Blocks Physiotherapy course, APA Paediatric Physiotherapy level 1, paediatric gait analysis and equipment prescription courses which have equipped her with the ability to assess and manage a wide range of conditions such as developmental delay and coordination disorders, placiocephaly and torticollis, cerebral palsy, walking variations (e.g. in-toeing, toe walking), genetic conditions, cardiorespiratory conditions or children who just need a bit of extra help to meet their goals.
Sophie is available on Wednesday evenings, Fridays and Saturdays. She can provide sessions in the clinic, swimming pool, school/childcare or at home.
When not working at Good Physio for Children, Sophie works as a sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist and as part of the medical team for VFL Williamstown Seagulls Football Club and NPL Brunswick City Soccer Club.
Sophie is based in Coburg.
